Getting Started With LessonForged: Your First Lesson, Exam and Simulation
LessonForged is a web app that helps teachers prepare lessons and exams faster, in English or French. This walkthrough shows the first things to try after you create your account, and what to check before you use anything in class.
Create your account and choose your language
Register with your email or with your Google account. You can switch between English and French at any time from the language button, and the whole app follows your choice. If you plan to use LessonForged on your phone, you can install it like an app from your browser menu.
Generate your first lesson
Open New Lesson and type the topic, the class level and the curriculum you follow. LessonForged writes lesson slides and detailed notes for you to review. Read everything, change what does not fit your class and keep the examples that work. The first draft saves time, but you decide what your students receive.
- Choose a clear topic, not a whole subject
- Set the class level
- Read and edit the slides and notes
- Save the lesson to your library
Teach it in Present mode
Present mode shows your slides full screen so you can teach from your laptop or a projector. You can also export the lesson to PowerPoint or PDF if you prefer to share a file. Try the lesson once yourself before class so nothing surprises you.
Build an exam with a marking scheme
Open New Exam, choose the topics and the difficulty, and LessonForged drafts the questions together with an answer key and a marking scheme. Review each question, adjust the marks and make sure the paper matches what you actually taught. A marking scheme written up front makes marking faster and fairer.
Try a simulation
The Lab offers interactive science and maths simulations. Open one that matches your topic and let students predict what will happen before you change a value. It is a good way to make a difficult idea visible.
Keep your work organised
Every lesson and exam you create is saved to your library, so you can find it again, edit it and reuse it with another class. Give your lessons clear titles that include the topic and the class level, and you will save time later when you look for them.
If you teach in both English and French, you can switch the language of the app and of your content when you need to. This is useful for teachers who work in bilingual schools or who prepare materials for colleagues in the other section.
What to try next
Once you are comfortable with the basics, try generating notes for a topic you find hard to explain, ask for a revision exam before a test, and open a simulation during a lesson. Each one is a small step, and together they change how much time you spend on preparation.
Check the work before class
AI can make mistakes. Check facts, formulas and diagrams, and compare the content with your syllabus before you teach it. If something is wrong, edit it or generate it again. If you find a problem, use the Help section to report it so it can be improved.
