Refund & Cancellation Policy

How cancellation, plan expiry, credit packs and refunds work in plain words.

1. How billing works

Paid plans run for the number of months you choose at checkout (1 to 12) and are paid with MTN Mobile Money or Orange Money through Fapshi. There is no stored card and no automatic renewal: when a period ends, you pay again from the Billing page if you want to continue. Credit packs are one-off purchases.

2. Cancellation

A plan you buy cannot be cancelled part-way, and you are never charged again without your action. It stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then your account returns to the Free plan automatically.

3. When a period ends

If you do not renew, your account returns to the Free plan and you get an in-app notification. Nothing you created (lessons, exams, exports) is deleted; you simply return to Free-plan limits for creating new content. Credits from packs you bought stay on your account.

4. Refunds

If a payment was taken but you did not receive what you paid for (plan not activated, credits not added), we correct it or refund it in full. For any other request, contact us within 7 days of payment with your payment reference (shown in your Billing history) and we review it case by case; credits already used are not refunded. If a refund is approved: for a plan, it ends immediately and your account returns to Free; for a credit pack, the refunded credits are removed from your balance (never below zero).

5. Failed or unconfirmed payments

If MTN or Orange charged you but LessonForged shows the payment as pending or failed, do not pay again straight away. Wait a few minutes (we check automatically), then contact us with your phone number and the approximate time of payment, and we will reconcile it with the payment provider.

6. Pricing changes

If we change a price or a credit allowance, it only affects future purchases. A plan you already paid for keeps its price and allowance until it ends.
